Essential Flavours & Ingredients are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Help Desk Specialist to support end users by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows Terminal Services and database query management, ensuring smooth IT operations and user satisfaction.

Our story still has many pages to be written and we are now seeking an IT Helpdesk Specialist to support the team with custom designed programs, & maintenance of our data systems, creating internal training packages and providing user support.
YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
To be a complimentary fit for this role, here are the key responsibilities:
- User Support – first point of contact for technical support, addressing issues; Diagnose and resolve problems with hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Windows Terminal Services Support – manage and maintain Windows Terminal Services environments. Troubleshoot where relevant.
- System Installation and Maintenance – in, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and user devices.
- Database Query and Reporting – Execute basic database queries to retrieve or analyze data as needed for resolving issues or reporting.
- Incident Management – Log, prioritize, and resolve tickets using the company’s ticketing system.
- System Installation and Maintenance – Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and user devices.
- Network and Connectivity – Support and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity issues.
- User Training and Documentation – Provide guidance to users on IT systems and applications. Document IT processes, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides for future reference.
- System Monitoring and Reporting – Monitor system performance and identify potential issues proactively.
- Security and Compliance – Adhere to and enforce IT security policies and procedures. Assist in monitoring and mitigating cybersecurity threats.
Qualifications
- Degree or TAFE certificate in Information Technology
- 3 years hands on network administration, Windows Terminal services and d/base queriesProficiency with Windows Terminal Services, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiar or comfortable with SQL database query languages and user management.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, basic knowledge of Android, Linux and/or macOS operating systems.
- Experience with setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, ability to assist with antivirus, malware removal, and password management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality service.
